| Again this year, Empire Alpaca Association will be bringing in
some of the leading camelid veterinarians and providing a day of free seminars for veterinarians and vet students. This year, Dr. LaRue Johnson will conduct various seminars on alpaca health.
Topics will include:
- Overview of Camelid Dermatology
- Pregnancy Diagnosis and Dystocia
- Camelid Lameness and Foot Problems
Also, Dr. Chris Cebra of Oregon State will be our second speaker and will cover Emerging Diseases in Camelids and E Mac. Dr. Cebra is one of the country’s leading authorities on Eimeria Macusaniensis
We will start the day at 10:00AM so many of you can drive there Friday morning (hopefully not through a snow storm like last year!). Lunch will be provided. Classes will end around 5PM.
Space will be limited to 80 people due to room constraints, so we will likely
"sell out" this year. If you register for the seminar and later decide cannot attend, please contact Steve McCarthy at
Spruceridgefarm@aol.com so I can remove you from the list and allow another vet in your place.
Walk-ins WILL NOT be permitted this year.
Empire Alpaca Association sincerely appreciates the dedication and assistance vets provide to Empire members and the alpaca community. We are partners with our vets in the health and well-being of our animals. Thank you for all you do for us! |
